The Diesel Engine Combustion Gas Simulator-MEO CLASS-I (DECGS) course is a 3-day mandatory certification for Engineer Officers at the Management Level. This 3-day course fulfills the simulator training requirement for Chief Engineer Officers at the Management Level, specified in Table A-III/2 of STCW Code as amended, to provide knowledge and skills related to optimization of fuel consumption, supervising and monitoring the combustion parameters for safe and efficient operation and control of ship’s machinery.
