TASCO Course Eligibility
To enroll in the TASCO course, the candidate must meet the following criteria.
- Hold a Certificate of Proficiency as a Rating in Charge of a Navigational or Engineering Watch,
OR
- Have completed the required sea service to qualify for a Certificate of Competency (CoC) examination. The seafarer must hold a valid Certificate of Competency as an officer.
- Hold a Certificate of Proficiency in Basic Training in Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations.
Sea Service Requirements For TASCO Course:-
- A minimum of three months of approved sea service on oil tankers within the last 6 months.
- Alternatively, at least one month of approved onboard training on an oil tankers in a supervisory capacity, which includes a minimum of three loading and three unloading operations, documented as part of an approved Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations.
