- Must possess a valid Indian CDC.
- Should have successfully cleared:
- Basic Safety Training (BST) exit exam
- STSDSD (Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties) exit exam

Eligibility Criteria for TASCO Course
To attend the TASCO course, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Certificate of Proficiency as a Rating in Charge of a Navigational or Engineering Watch,
OR have completed the required sea service to qualify for a Certificate of Competency (CoC)
examination. The seafarer must hold a valid Certificate of Competency as an officer. - Hold a Certificate of Proficiency in Basic Training in Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations.
Sea Service Requirements for TASCO Course:
- A minimum of 3 months of approved sea service on oil tankers within the last 6 months.
- Alternatively, at least 1 month of approved onboard training on an oil tanker in a supervisory capacity,
which includes a minimum of three loading and three unloading operations, documented as part of an approved
Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations.
