HVO Course Description
The 5-day High Voltage Safety and Switch Gear – Operational Level (HV-O) course is mandatory for Operational Level Engineer Officers. To enhance competency in high voltage systems, Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) are directed to restructure the 6-day course so that all operational-level requirements are covered on Day 1. This allows Engineer Officers to complete their training and receive the Course Completion Certificate (Annex-4) on the first day, as outlined in Annexes 1 to 3.

Eligibility for HV-O Course
To attend the HV-O Course, you must clear all the points mentioned below.
- Marine Engineering officers/trainees who have completed an approved pre-sea training course for GME / DME / ATS or B.E.(Marine).
- Electro-Technical Ratings (ETR) with sea time not less than 6 months.

1. E-Learning Requirements for HV-O Exit Exam
- Minimum Study Hours: 6 hours
- Passing Marks: 50%
2. Steps to Complete E-Learning:
