The necessary documents to enrol in an Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) course are:
- An original and a copy of a valid passport
- An original or copy of a Seaman’s book (Certificate of Competency)
- A copy of your Basic Firefighting (BFF) certificate
- A copy of your (STCW) Basic Safety Training (BST) certificate
- A medical certificate of fitness from a doctor approved by your National or Regional Delegation (DG)
- Four to six copies of recent passport-sized photographs taken against a white or blue background, with the same physical dimensions as your current passport photo(s)
- An application form signed by the Training Institution
- A government-issued photo identification card, if applicable (I.e., National ID card or Aadhaar card)
- A Sea Service Certificate (if an officer).
